Since January 2005, the Ile de France Film Commission has signed partnership agreements with three European regional counterparts, which will also offer the opportunity of access to three main European markets. The partners are:

Created in early 2004, the Latium Film Commission is the result of a partnership between the Latium Region and Cinecitta Holding. The Latium Region includes Rome as well as others major settings and Italy’s most important audiovisual facilities, among which Cinecitta, heart of the Italian cinema production.

The Madrid Film Commission is a private cultural foundation managed by various institutions linked to the cinema production such as EGEDA, FAPAE, the Spain Film Commission, and also the Autonomous Madrid Community and the Madrid Town Council.

The Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is the central institute for the Berlin and Brandenburg Landers; its aim is to support and develop the Region media sector. The Medienboard has created a local film commission, the “Berlin – Brandenburg Filmforderung” which goal is to develop the Region cinema and audiovisual production.

These bilateral partnerships between Capital Regions play an essential part within the context of European cinema. Besides, these partnerships will lead to an exchange of services between the local film commissions. Also, one can highlight the fact that common actions and co-productions meetings will be held within the scope of the partnerships created.
These agreements are part of the creation of the “Capital Regions for Cinema” network, committed to promote their territories locations and cinema production skills on the international market.
